Congratulations on buying this awesome Syma S107G helicopter from us. I am sure it will provide hours of fun for the whole family.
Here are my Top Points and Top Fixes.
Top Points
This is an INSIDE flying helicopter because it is controlled via Infa Red. What this means is that pure sunlight will interfere with the signal between the controller and helicopter.
You must not use Rechargeable Batteries in the remote. Just use standard AA batteries as these will last ages.
Recharge your helicopter via the USB cable provided. First plug the USB end into any USB powered device eg laptop. A light should turn on at the USB end, this shows you have power to the cable. Now plug the other end into the helicopter and the light should go off.(make sure the helicopter is turned OFF) When the light reappears your helicopter is fully charged and your ready for flight.
Top Fixes
Replacing the Tail Rotor - Ensure you hold onto the motor! That is the silver looking thing. Pulling out the motor may mean you pull out the wires from the bottom. I use my finger nails to hold down the motor just below the tail rotor.
Top Blades Not Spinning - this occurs after a hard crash. What you do is undo the two screws on the side of the top blades (about 4-5 turns only required) and lift off the whole top blades and upper grip. You will notice on the inner shaft that there is an indent this is where you need to align one of the screws as you put the top piece back on. To test you have done this correctly hold the bottom cogs and try turning the blades, you should feel resistance.
Your helicopter wont get far off the ground - either you have not charged your helicopter properly or you are losing power to the top blades. See Top Fix 2
My Helicopter wont go - have you turned on the helicopter? Are the lights going? If no, charge helicopter. If yes, turn on the remote -- does a green light appear? if no change your remote batteries, if Yes give the left stick (throttle) full power and bring back to zero then go back to halfway. (issue here is the controller and helicopter haven't spoken to each other yet and this will force them too)
My Helicopter flies up into the air then goes nuts, spins out of control and crashes - You may have broken you upper grip tree this holds the blades to the inner shaft and sometimes breaks but you don't see it.
My Helicopter is missing a connect buckle (link Rod). Probably not they only come with and need one.
