DJI Osmo Action 6: The Flagship Action Camera Has Arrived

Flagship Imaging: A New 1/1.1-Inch Square Sensor

At the heart of the Action 6 is a new 1/1.1-inch square sensor. This large sensor provides 2.4μm equivalent pixels and 13.5 stops of dynamic range, supporting up to 4K/120fps recording in a 4:3 aspect ratio. This maintains clear detail in both low-light and high-contrast scenes.

This custom-designed square sensor also powers the new 4K Custom mode. This innovative feature allows you to "shoot first and crop later," giving you the flexibility to freely crop your footage into multiple aspect ratios (like 16:9 or 9:16) during post-production.

DJI's First Variable Aperture Action Camera

As DJI's first action camera with a variable aperture, the Osmo Action 6 breaks away from the traditional fixed-aperture design. The f/2.0-f/4.0 range offers unprecedented creative control to suit a wide range of scenarios.

With a maximum aperture of f/2.0, the Action 6 excels in low light, delivering enhanced image quality. When paired with the new Macro Lens, this large aperture can create a beautiful shallow depth of field for stunning close-ups. In bright night scenes, the Starburst mode can be used to turn city lights into captivating starbursts.

 

Pro-Level Video, Colour, and Stabilisation

The large sensor and aperture are supported by powerful processing. SuperNight mode captures pure, detailed video at up to 4K/60fps in challenging low-light conditions. For professional workflows, 10-bit D-Log M preserves highlight and shadow detail, offering greater flexibility in post-production.

Footage remains perfectly smooth thanks to multiple stabilisation modes, including RockSteady 3.0/3.0+ and HorizonSteady. You can also capture the action in detail with native 4K/120fps slow-motion recording.

Built for Adventure

The Osmo Action 6 is built to handle extreme environments. It features a 4-hour battery life and is cold-resistant, operating reliably in temperatures from -20°C to 45°C. The camera body is waterproof up to 20 metres without a case and features 50GB of built-in storage, so you can keep shooting even without a memory card.

 

A Complete Creative Ecosystem

The OsmoAudio™ ecosystem provides professional sound, supporting a direct connection for two DJI microphone transmitters without a receiver. A built-in three-mic array also captures rich stereo sound with intelligent wind-noise reduction.

Two new accessories expand creative options. The new Macro Lens allows for stunning close-ups, while the FOV Boost Lens expands the camera's native 155° FOV to an immersive 182°. Smart features like Gesture Control, Pre-Rec, and built-in Timecode streamline the entire shooting and editing process.
