How it works
Step 1: Get in touch
Email email@example.com with your issue and our staff will review your request and send you an email with instructions on how to send your drone to our certified service centre.
Step 2: Assessment
Once we receive your drone, it will be booked into our service centre for assessment.
Step 3: Diagnosis & Quote
Our drone technicians will diagnose the problem and contact you with an estimated cost to repair your drone. The quote will include parts, labour and shipping back to you. Sometimes specific repairs cannot be completed in-house, so we send these to DJI Global in China for a quote on the repair, which can delay the process.
Step 4: Service
When you have approved the quote, our skilled technicians will get to work repairing your drone. Be aware that occasionally, for unique issues, we need to order parts from DJI Global in China and this may extend the process.
Step 5: Testing
Once your drone repair is completed we will bench test the craft to ensure your drone is in full working order.
Step 6: Confirmation & Payment
You will receive an email or a call from our team letting you know that your repair has been completed, as well as payment details.
Step 7: Return
After your payment has been received we will get your drone straight back to you on the courier so you can get out flying again!
We are proud to say that we are the only Certified DJI Service Centre in New Zealand. Nationwide our team are known for repairing drones to the highest standard. Our fully-equipped workshop is staffed with DJI trained service technicians who are trained at the DJI Global HQ to diagnose and repair the majority of DJI products. This means you can have 100% confidence in Ferntech’s workmanship and service abilities.
Our technicians can perform the majority of repairs on your Mavic 2, Mavic Pro, Mavic Pro Platinum, Mavic Air, Inspire 1 & 2, Spark and Phantom 4 Series. As well as assisting with set-up and firmware issues. Rest assured, by sending your drone to Ferntech, you're placing it in good hands.

If you bought your drone at the DJI Authorised Retail Store in Auckland, from Ferntech in Christchurch, or online from this website, the repair may be covered under warranty if the issue is not due to user error (such as crashing into a tree). If you did not buy the craft from us, then you will need to return it to the original retailer for warranty cover*.
*For repairs outside of warranty, we charge an $80.00 assessment fee. If you'd like to book your drone in for repair or service, please contact us.
